Prior/Other Occupations: Biologist specializing in genetics, outdoor skills instructor for SFCC, hiking and snowshoe guide
Other Main Interests: Geology, local history and archaeology
Favorite Water(s) & Why: Wherever I can be with a fly rod!
Favorite Species & Why: New Mexico native Rio Grande Cutthroat Trout , which require cold, clean water and usually a hike.
Most Exotic Trip: Fly fishing at the National Aquarium in Australia.
What I Like Most About Guiding & Why: The chance to share a recreation that offers enjoyment over the long haul – it’s not just a sport for the young!
What I Like Most About Fly Fishing & Why: Although fly fishing is a wonderful, meditative endeavor by itself, I also enjoy fly fishing as a means of exploring.
It has led my husband (yes, he fishes, too!) and I to fabulous places in New Zealand, Chile Argentina and Sweden, as well as throughout the United States.
Describe a Day With You as a Guide: My guiding style is given to teaching the when and why, the strategy and the techniques that will serve not only today’s
fishing but coming excursions as well. I am a Federation of Fly Fishers certified casting instructor, and enjoy helping fly fishers adapt casting to their own abilities and needs.
